The main drive (that has OS on) is a SATA drive, but the other one (data drive) is ATA drive. But no go, the beeps are strange, 3lg pause 2lg 1sh. One of the most common PC power supply issues is that the PC will turn off unexpectedly rather than fail to boot up at all. I will not loose my files and do not need to re-install Windows Vista.. Anyway, I changed the CPU out without incident but now when I turn the computer on it doesn't boot up.
