I was able to solve my problem from within Windows 7 using the Disk Management tool and the bcdboot command line tool.If you do have another drive that can boot Windows Can't find your answer ? That won't work cos you need to be online and running an OS to get the update!Does anyone have any answers for this situation... The Windows 7 install issue was fixed by putting in a different hard drive. The Windows 7 installer apparently doesn't like those drives. You'd be better off using ACHI for Win7/8 or if you intend to use XP - IDE. If you installed a full, retail copy of XP onto your old computer, you can use the same CD to install it onto your new one.
