If I type ‘My Computer' into IE, I can get to the device with no problem. I was plugging the external drive to the USB port in the rear of the computer, iPod to the front. The driver details for NEC-3540 does not show any problem. Right-click the first USB controller under Universal Serial Bus controllers, and then click Uninstall to remove it.
When I plugged in a USB memory stick into the hub, it invalidated the drive letter for one of the hard drives and WinXP REFUSES to see that drive.
