Whatever system problem you're having, this will restore all your Windows 10 system files to their default state. Only information contained in the User Documents folder is actually saved.

  • Select your system drive and click the "Configure" button if you want to enable it.
  • These two users lost access to their Desktop, My Computer, My Documents, etc.
  • If the problem was caused by a recent update, you can look at uninstalling that Windows Update or reverting to a previous "build" of Windows 10.

System Restore isn’t a cure-all, but it can fix a surprising number of problems and unfortunately has been downplayed somewhat in recent years amidst all of Windows' other recovery tools. http://wphomeguide.com/problems-with/problems-with-7900-gt.php You might try removing it. Got Feedback? I did a restore point to the time I think I used the "Snapshot", and now I think I am rid of this problem.

It's a rather involved process because if you just delete the folder it will recreate itself on restart. It seems, people who were unlucky enough to also end up with 'Windows Genuine Validation Notification' appear to have additional problems. You can also visit the “advanced startup options” screen — these will automatically appear if Windows 10 can’t boot normally — and use the options there.

Does anyone think that if I 'Remove' all my recent updates it might take care of it? When you're ready to restore, click the restore point you want to use and then click Next. You can create a restore point at any time, though Windows automatically creates a restore point once per week. Are the 172 emails spam or just random regular mail from different contacts?

I had to go through the process below because my 'Add or Remove Progarms' program did not itemize when the updates were installed. The bottom list shows programs and drivers that might be restored by the process. I recommend it strongly.
