Password Processors and motherboards Intel Is that Core i7 or X99 chipset giving you a hard time? Here is my problem.. This board should sell in the $190 range, significantly lower than the first available Intel 975X boards with stock performance that matches or exceeds those boards. I have the same motherboard revision as you show in the picture.

When I realized my mistake, I plugged in the 8-pin EATX12V (after removing a cache that hides 4 of the pins) and now not even the fans work!!! From min 6 to a max of 20. Hope someone can help with this as others also would benefit from this Nah not hoping.... The first time around, I forgot to plug the 8-pin EATX12V plug to power the CPU and all the fans were turning except obviously it did not boot.

  • no changing the multiplier curtosey of Intel.

  • Sorry.
  • There's absolutely no reason the Nvidia card should be blowing it away, especially on HL2 and other typically ATI friendly games.
  • I am using the release of Conroe as an excuse to build a whole new system.
  • Now, having read this, I see that Conroe isn't playing nice with my chosen vid card, possibly due to driver issues.
  • To make a long story short - how do I unlock my Conroe E6600, so I can unleash the beast instead of being stuck at 2.9Ghz ???
  • My question: Have you guys received any word from ATI, or has a new driver been pushed out yet that brings its performance up to par where it should be?

Also Nvidia chip sets don't overclock as well or as high as Intel based boards. 3.0 to 3.4 is a realistic goal for that board. 1.54 is a lot of voltage Name it and link it or don't tell people to ignore good advice. That resulted in improved performance of the board when overclocked. Lock your PCIE at 100 3. unfortunately, you may just have toe wait for another bios update, cuz the firmware for this board is stilll pretty immature. Log in Don't have an account? We expect to see this change when NVIDIA releases their revised chipsets in several months.

ASUS did listen to the user complaints and additional component changes were made on the board to improve stability - but the most significant changes occurred in the BIOS. But you can still unleash the power of the beast. All rights reserved. Obviously the more detailed the better.
