If im really careful at placing it back it works but now its got even worse and it doesnt boot at all, even after resetting the BIOS. i was floored, i totally didn't expect it. this one though has caused me the most headache. It seems that the ASUS p5k does not like the 8600GT.

Like wtf is so strange, is that with nvidia-driver-version-182.50, it works beautifully in WinXP ??! - I've had Vid-cards go, but when they go I hear the "beeps" and that's that Thinking of replacing with a new board and need to find the best OSX compatible board with onboard graphics or cheap dedicated card instead. Something was changed somewhere that I just couldn't find. Good luck!
