It is always good to have extra headroom in your power supply because then you do not risk overloading it.Others may have different suggestions, but I have personally used an Enermax You would never open up the power supply to connect anything - that would void its warrenty. If u open your case up and look at the psu, it should have a sticker on it that states its maximum wattage.
