If you have any recommendations I would greatly appreciate it. A 4.0 Ghz overclock is pretty tiny. I would also add a touch of voltage to the ram itself. With the cpu core voltage set to auto your cpu is getting over volted some.

You would have to reset the BIOS if it does.
I want to see how high this chip will go. I'm just wondering if you ought to try reseating you GPU heatsink or something. Please help (self.overclocking)submitted 21 days ago by mrdudefoolI managed to overclock my monitor to 74 hz (if I try 75 hz the monitor says out of range and reverts back to 74 hz). https://www.reddit.com/r/overclocking/comments/5k4g69/asus_strix_1080_wont_hold_any_overclock_please/ Your bios should have a spot that shows the voltage, yes. I would really like to try to run 24/7 at 4.8GHz since I think 5.0GHz would put to much stress on the CPU for 24/7 operation. I am trying to achieve a 24/7 overclock higher than 4.5GHz. This video was very helpful.
I got noctua d15 i hope its enough. If there isn´t an error for about 8hours, it should be stable. the other 25% of fails is my monitor, i have went through 4 monitors in the past 2 months, (thats besides the point), currently i have an asus 3d 144 hz
If it were me, I would uninstall aisuite and use this tool to clean after https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B926...=sharing&pli=1 it's specifically for the removal of AISuite. From low to high frequencies. In the BIOS, I'm in Advanced mode, Ai Tweaker section. At this point, it would be best to let prime95 run for 8-24 hours to test for stability.Best luck!
