No I dont need the led May 21, 2007 #20 CCT TS Evangelist Posts: 2,653 +6 Did you read through those reviews? Also Ive asked before, what kind of PSU should you have for this processor? Any ideas? It's based on the BIOS chip maker, not AMD or Intel.

What about the possibility that the Mobo sensor may be faulty? As mentioned above, you might want to look at your case airflow. Get More Information
The fact that its been running perfectly stable @ around 70C for nearly 2 hours makes me wonder if its the mobos temp sensor that is incorrect. My idle temperature is rarely more than 1 or 2 degrees Centigrade above ambient room temperature. MAKE SURE YOUR HEAT SINK IS TIGHT ON YOUR CPU!!!
So 60C isnt bad for this CPU? Is this acceptable? May 21, 2007 #8 mysvxrocks TS Rookie Topic Starter Posts: 17 When I took it off last night, I re applied the thermal paste. My processor temperature is from 50 to 90 C (this data are checked by program called Everest). http://newwikipost.org/topic/09qVLMbBAP4QpxgwU5tWIAebqQcwPOfI/AMD-Athlon-X2-6000-AM2-temp.html I am using a Zalman 9500a heatsink with arctic silver thermal grease, and an Abit AN52 motherboard. Only if I go into a really graphic game, and only after like 15 minutes of playing time. No, create an account now.
I have a form factor case. at the registered CPU temp of 70C I would assume the damn thing would be ridiculously hot if it was actually working properly and just insufficient for cooling this CPU... You'll find something you like there, they've reviewed just about everything on the market. I have done like 3 or 4 different applications of the thermal grease in the past few days with no real luck.
Also what kind of PSU would you need for this processor? then about 4 months ago I had to RMA it. I was asking becouse with case closed and CPU temp > 60 degrees C my fan spins with around 6000 rpm. All Rights Reserved.

But at that time i was not hacing any thermal paste so i installed the cooler w/o applying any pasteSo here goes the resultsWhile playing Call of Duty: Black Ops...... How is the ventilation and airflow? I did this once when i first got it, saw the alarming temperatures, and redid it a few days later. The heatsink seems to be sitting on there as its supposed to be.
Maybe you know someone with one that you can borrow. Ok, I know the temperature now, Is my CPU too hot?
