Double checked the PSU with the old components and it booted and ran Memtest fine. My power supply (SeaSonic G 550W 80+ Gold Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply) came with a 8/6 pin pci e cable.

Never again after that though lol. I have seen it before though. It should go from 0 to +5 volts when you turn the PSU on with the case switch.
