It's been working well for past 1.5 years but week back, it reported "Format Not Recognized" while playing a movie. When XP is installed with one hard drive, apparently the default is to not expect a second drive to be added! Still the issue--max of 50GB showing on the hd and since under XP, Disk Manager could not extend. Is there any sector issue or head in the disk got struck or anything else? have a peek at these guys

In the illustration above it is clear that we have 3 physical drives connected to the machine. It did not report any bad sector. For the life of me I cant understand what I'm missing.My mobo is the ASrock 970 Extreme3, and as I said the sata driver and a 3TB+ driver have been installed.
