Don't give me five! Sound & Audio no sound through hdmi connectionI have just upgraded from vista to windows 7 home premium. There are some unused pins on the DVI connection. I'm running Windows 7 64-bit.
Of course, if you don't need surround sound, you could use an equally inexpensive stereo RCA cable instead. But yes it should work fine like you described.
