I got an irq conflict blue screen error and while the pc was dumping info to memory it got stuck at 5%.Then I restarted the pc and the monitor wouldnt turn It isn't likely to be your CMOS losing it's settings, since you've just had the battery replaced for that, but there could be wrong settings. I tookit to another tech who reset the CMOS and didn't charge meanything. Memtest and similar scanners have been used alot to scan everything for problems, but they never come with anything.
