Everything, including monitors and cables, are brand new. The first thing that catches me is that you went from plugging I into the port on the motherboard, presumably DVI or VGA to HDMI on the card. And / or feel warm if u run it for a few mins? news Make sure that the monitor is set to DVI as the input.
You might want to do this for performance reasons, but it should have very little impact unless you are planning to use it for another monitor.
