I noticed in the BIOS that my CPU temps were slowly rising up to 70 degrees celcius and higher. i powered it on and all the fans came on and the led light turned on. Testing a PSU with a cheap tester may not be 100% reliable / accurate but isa reasonable indicator of whether the PSU is functional - although I've always used the substitution Just what I was looking for.
