I am on to something. I once had a Gigabyte board that I had to shut off in this manner otherwise it wouldn't always boot. You can wait a minute or so after you power it on and actually type in your windows password it the windows logged on sound happens.

Do you happen to know what the native resolution for the monitor should be? If I reboot the system at this time it will then show the splash screen and post beep, then windows as normal.
