I've been using rivatuner and I can fix my fan at 100% all the time and try to overclock alittle. Graphics cards very often run 65 to 70 degrees at load normally, they're designed to be able to run hotter than a CPU. Auto settings are not always the best Please Help!! one is set on and one is set off by default. Since it has always started artifacts at 50c I'm going to leave it at this setting for a while. the frame rate is good for most games but it can hardly run heavy load games more than 10 minutes.
This switch is on the back just near the heatsink bracket you can see on the left. The 7900GS is a great overclocker, and if you want to tweak it even more, very easy to voltmod. Anyone with issues try throwing some swift's on the pwm's and get better cooling.And also the OC thing , increase the mem by 27mhz at a time or go get ray's I've heard that some of these cards have been put together in a hurry and the heatsink fan is not set very good. I can't find any decent links with pics or something on google....

What I worked out in the end was stability drops off around 1.4 volts (after turn on and warm up) which correlates to around about 5800ohm (measured before turn on.) I Obviously unacceptable and an X1950XT is clearly above a X1950 pro. proof at last! Some may say that is loud, but when I play games, I don't hear it anyway.

At idle these cards run at about 45c and after hours of gaming, about 72c (with no stability issues or artifacting issues). Firstly I wouldnt think that sapphire makes their parts of the highest quality material.
