Looks like they switched from a 3COM chip to the Marvell one. while the power supply upgrade , is $14 at one page its $19 at another , No big deal about that ... The bundle does give everything required to get the motherboard up and running, and there is also a very comprehensive manual that details everything about the motherboard. And that second x16 slot can always come in handy to drive additional displays.

i suspect most would just move to 939 and do dualcore at the same time while they're at it. amd athlon .. want to go down or backward in speed or performance ...... I wonder how an Intel SLI setup would run with a low level Celeron?

Having said that, it would have been nice to see a couple of additional SATA cables, and one or two additional USB 2.0 expansion brackets.
There were many early adopters when Socket 754 first came out, as it was a cheaper upgrade than the upgrade to Socket 940 for Athlon 64 FX. All SLI-Ready motherboards can be found here. I use the Asus K8V-Deluxe with the 3200+ 64-Bit and a Gig of ram.....love it. The lowest price SLI-Ready motherboard on the market today (and still a kick-ass board) is the Gigabyte GA-K8N-SLI, which sells for as low as UNDER $90 US!
