Therefore factory capacity cannot be recovered. It came with an 80gb hard drive IDE but noticed it had Sata connections so I bought a used Maxtor 1TB HD. It won't harm the data since it does not access the "user data area" at all. I took it back to Frys to have them replace under my extended warranty.

I have kept this hard drive as slave in another pc and its also not showing. I used it in a PIII with DDO with windowsxp and linux. I want to install it as a slave drive in my comp. I'm not sure if you can copy those files from one drive to another and boot into XP.
