NTFS can handle files more than 4GB. When I did this it copied about 1/4 of the files and then froze. I can't seem to transfer big files into my External Hard Disk(500gig). Never MOVE (that implies a delete), only COPY?2.
When it's done formatting, you're all done. Using its Split command, you can split a large file into smaller chunks (say, 2GB each).
