PC Won't Post With PCI Express Video Card Installed


I did the same and got BIOS that was perfectly able to POST with 5770. Eventually it would even crash when I started iTunes simulation. If the old video started to fail because it taxed the old PSU and prolong game play didn't stress it and the video card from heat build-up. If it's without, I'd set aside the video card for a while and fix this issue first. I work most efficiently at the last minute.

I'm pretty sure I'm not forgetting any extra power-supply cable as it only requires the 6-pin that you mentioned. Did you try a different PCIe slot? It didn't boot with that video card either, so I'm quite certain now that it's my motherboard that is faulty, despite the fact that I'm using the computer right now with I tried the GPU on a friends computer and it also didn't work so i knew it was the GPU that was dead.

A friend suggested trying it without the case's HDD LED plugged into the mobo, so I unplugged that tiny little inconsequential cable and it booted first try.
